christmas crackers

I've developed a bit of an obsession with Christmas editions of magazines and gravitate to them in search of easy craft projects and fail safe baking ideas. And of course I'm always on the look out for a good washing image. And this Christmas one is perfect for this year. It's from the December 2008 Women's Weekly which I found in the tea room at work and considered nicking but then decided against. I took a page instead, which seems to be the done thing because all the good recipes are gone. No-one is going to miss a picture of television celebrities cavorting under a Hill's Hoist are they?

I love the utter suburbanness of the image. How ordinary is that house? And the Hills Hoist with the laundry basket. It just makes it all the more kooky. Although I do worry for the turkey. But as if he's going to take it out behind the woodshed instead of getting one at the supermarket like everyone else.

Merry Christmas to all those who read here! Thank you for visiting and reading.
